Goin' to the Chapel

We officially have a new sister-in-law! Jeff and Raquel had a beautiful wedding day. The rain held off and, just like in the movies, the sun came out right after their ceremony. We had a blast all day, and especially enjoyed the reception.
Raquel was very passionate about the cake. It turned out just like the photo she found in a magazine.

The bridal party had a lot of fun together!

We got in trouble for taking this photo because the photographer needed us.

If you look in front of Gary, you will see mashed potatoes in a martini glass. We were SO excited that the mashed potato bar was still open when we showed up.

Hopefully the next post will feature Abby. Sarah had contractions all day yesterday but they weren't doing it. They stopped before she went to bed. Gary and I felt Abby jumping around today, and we all gave her quite the pep talk. These are my cousin Kelli, me, my aunt Carol, my cousin Amy, and Sarah (and Abby).

  • Raquel - you looked beautiful. Congratulations!! It rained from the UP down to Holland, so it was truly a blessing that God held the rain back for you!

  • If anyone knows any obscure tricks to make a baby pop out we are open to suggestions. We have tried all the usual things and nothing has worked.

  • When I talked with Angie today, she requested a close up of Raquel's jewelry since she made it herself. I'll post a link to Michelle's flickr or snapfish set when she sends it to me. Gary and I are off to have dinner at Jim and Michelle's with Jeff and Raquel, and maybe even Brian and Sarah since there is apparently no baby yet today. We're feeding Sarah something spicy!

  • Raquel looks so beautiful! It looks like you guys had fun! Sarah, I hope you have your baby soon. They say that sucking your thumb can help stimulate labor due to the pressure on the roof of your mouth. I was desperate enough to try it to see if I could speed my contractions, but it didn't work for me! Good luck! Until then enjoy your last few moments of sleep!

  • Wedding was great! Michelle and I had a blast and loved the beach theme! I liked the specialty appletini so much I had to have 3 to make sure the bartenders were making them consistently for the protection of all the guests of course! :)
Why do only some pictures work when you click on them to make them bigger?

  • Do you think I know what I'm doing here? I don't!

  • Thanks Angie and Amber, we had a ton of fun. I really can't believe it was over two weeks ago, but I am back to enjoying normal life. It's amazing becoming a wife and an aunt in the same week!!
